Joan E. Barnett passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, at the age of 94.

Born to William G. Evers and Marie Bixby Evers, Joan lived a life full of quiet grace, curiosity, and love for those around her. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ronald Barnett, and cherished daughter, Diane Barnett. Also preceding her in death were her sisters Marilyn J. Thorson and Patsy C. Waller, and nephews John Mann and Mark Waller.

Joan is survived by her loving nieces and nephews: Bill Mann, Todd (Lorenza) Waller, Julie Grote Johnson, Deb (Mike) Schinzel, Kim Waller, and Sara (Jason) Thompson. She also leaves behind several great-nieces and nephews, as well as great-great nieces and nephews, all of whom brought her immense joy.

A lifelong learner and lover of nature, Joanie found peace in birdwatching and adventure in her travels. She was an avid reader and an enthusiastic bridge player, always ready to share a laugh or a story with friends and family.

Her warmth, kindness, and gentle wit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.
