Joan G. (Glesinger) Wilmes
September 10, 1927 – May 17, 2022
Joan Glesinger Wilmes, age 94, was born on September 10, 1927 in Spalding, Neb., and after completing her education, she taught school in that area. She later moved to Omaha where she worked for Mutual of Omaha and then the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She was married to John H. “Jack” Wilmes on August 12, 1952 in Spalding. They lived in Virginia, New Jersey and Chicago before returning to Omaha in 1975.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, and her son, Don. She is survived by two sons, Steve (Rita) and Jim (Connie), along with seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
VISITATION to be held on Saturday, June 4th beginning at 9am at Christ the King Church, 654 S. 86th St., followed by MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 10am. INTERMENT: Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society or Diabetes Foundation.

Sorry to hear of Joan’s passing but I’m certain she and Jack are now reunited. Health conditions will not allow us to travel to the funeral but we will be there in spirit and your family will be in our prayers.
