Joan MacIntosh Angotti

ANGOTTI, Joan MacIntosh Nov 23, 1940 – Oct 21, 2014 Joan passed away peacefully on the morning of October 21st, surrounded by her family, sister and brother in law Gail and Alec Merriam of Tiburon, CA, and niece and husband Joanie and Guillaume Crété and grandnephew Alexander Crété of Aspen, CO. Joan was born in Orange, New Jersey and grew up in South Orange, New Jersey. She graduated from Hood College in Frederick, MD and received a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland. She taught in Montgomery County Maryland Public Schools before moving to Omaha in 1970. She was a devoted Elementary School teacher in Omaha Public Schools until her retirement in 1996. Joan was a member of the Junior League of Omaha and active in Tuesday Musical, Joslyn Art Museum, and Dundee Presbyterian Church where she was a Deacon. She was a great supporter of the Omaha Symphony and Opera. She loved to travel and visited countless places in the world. Joan was devoted to her family and to her many, many friends. She will be missed by all. MEMORIAL SERVICE Friday, October 24th, 10am at Dundee Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dundee Presbyterian Church or Joslyn Art Museum.
