JoAnne Macke
November 8, 1948 – April 15, 2018
JoAnne Macke of Mullen, Nebraska, died on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at her home in Omaha. She was born on November 8, 1948, to Bill and Betty (Law) Macke in Alliance, Nebraska, and graduated from Mullen High School in 1967.
Together with Steve Breitenfeldt, JoAnne had five children: Rick Breitenfeldt (Tony), Stephanie Neuhaus (Rob), Mandi Noel (Tony), Jamie Lindburg (Jason), and Adam Breitenfeldt (Jenny); and ten grandchildren: Madeline, Luke, Ian, Olivia, Matthew, Kaelyn, Sydney, Isabella, Hailey, and Wyatt. She enjoyed baking, golfing, and vacationing with her children.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Bill and Bob Macke, and her brother-in-law, Larry Bostron. She is survived by her sisters, Jean Macke and Peg Bostron; her brother, Jim Macke (Michelle); numerous nieces and nephews.
Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Cedarview Cemetery in Mullen, Nebraska.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given in JoAnne’s name to the Mayo Clinic’s Sandra J. Schultze American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Rochester, Minnesota, which provides free lodging, programs, and services to cancer patients and their caregivers who must travel away from home for treatment.

So sorry for your loss. We have many good memories with your mom. I think of her often. We had no idea she was ill. Love you all.

I will miss our early morning calls and JoAnne asking me “so how’s that working out for you?” She was a dear friend to me and I will miss her so much.
