Jocelyn L. “Mickey” Chandler

Mickey Chandler, 85, of Ralston went home to be with our LORD on August 19, 2017.  A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, neighbor and everyone’s Angel on Earth will be dearly missed by all.  Mickey will forever be held in the hearts of all whom she encountered.

Mickey was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Chandler; her son, David Chandler; and her great-grandson, Brantley McMannus.  Mickey is survived by her children: Starla Vojtech, Doug Chandler and wife Pam, Dee Chumley, Janelle Bucher and husband Gary, and Rick Chandler; daughter-in-law, Kelly O’Flaherty and husband Joe; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren with another on the way; and her sister, Betty Schlueter.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24th from 6pm to 8pm at the Bel Air Chapel, 12100 W. Center Rd. CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE will be held on Friday, August 25th at 10:30am at Ralston United Church of Christ, 7638 Maywood in Ralston. Interment, Hillcrest Memorial Park.  Memorials are suggested to Siena/Francis House.

    Though I live in Austin, Texas, I saw in the Grand Island paper about Betty’s passing and that led me to find out about Mickey. I grew up in Nebraska hearing about cousin Mickey often – my mother was extremely fond of her. I also loved visits from “Uncle Dick” when I was a child (my grandmother’s brother). We will keep your family in our thoughts!
