Preceded in death by parents, Lily Cole Thornton and Jodie A. Thornton, Sr.; wife, Jean; daughter, Gloria Kratzke; son, Smith Albert Thornton; sister, Mary Ellen Rogers.  Survived by son-in-law, Fred Kratzke; one niece, Barbara Johnson; two “Omaha daughters,” Cyndy Peacock and Linda Severin; very special “loved-committed one,” Marge Quinlan.

VISITATION Tuesday, Dec. 19th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by PRAYER SERVICE at 7pm.  Private Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park with military honors by Millard American Legion Post 374 & VFW Post 8334.  Memorials are suggested to Presbyterian Church of the Cross; or to Methodist Hospital Foundation.

    He will be missed! So sad?. I am truly sorry. Uncle Albert was a kind, good, devoted man. I will miss his phone calls around Holidays?. I can hear him now “Ok, my dear”. He lived a lovely full life. My heart breaks for Marge and all whose lives he touched. You are in my thoughts and prayers??
