John Allen Ostrowski was born on October 12, 1943.

John had a long and successful banking and credit career with Texaco, Firstier Bank, and First National Bank of Omaha, taking him from Chicago to LA and back to the Midwest.

John was extremely generous, a sharp dresser, proud to serve in the Army, and enjoyed having his family around. His lifelong hobbies included fishing, cooking, and collecting anything related to fishing and cooking. Throughout his life, he always had at least one dog, but usually more, his true companions. While John was comfortable at home, he would talk easily with neighbors, friends and strangers – always an interesting conversation.

John was preceded in death by parents, John Martin Ostrowski and Helen Ostrowski.

Survived by his wife of 57 years, Donna; son, John D Ostrowski (Diane); daughters: Laura Scobie (Evan), Paula Moran (Mike), Danielle Opitz (Tony); brother, Tom Ostrowski (Barb); grandchildren: Natalie, Abby, Jack, Lauren, Brenden, Kinley, Savannah, Adaline; nephew, David Ostrowski (Christine); niece, Monika Smithers (Austin); and cousin, Bob Bokuniewicz.

Always loved my neighbors across the street. John and Donna and their 3 children. John was quiet not a lot to say but always sweet to me. I know has welcomed a new angel and his family will miss him very much… Rest in Peace my dear friend.
