John Chisholm
December 16, 2018
John went to be with his mother on December 16, 2018. He had missed her every day since she left. John was born in Santa Rosa, California and was raised in Napa, California. The most important thing in John’s life was his family and he was passionate with his love for them. His proudest moments were watching his beautiful daughter receive her bachelor’s degree and her master’s degree, with tears in his eyes each time. Then having the honor and privilege of pinning his son’s (who is also John’s hero) United States Army Ranger Tab on him, upon his Ranger School graduation. John also enjoyed remodeling his old cars.
He leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Georgia; his daughter and son-in-law, Tristan and Joseph Slater of Lincoln, Nebraska; his son, Dustin Chisholm of Mililani, Hawaii; brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Theresa Eschliman, Rick being his closest friend of 40 years and also how John met Georgia, of Indianola, Nebraska; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Tammy Miller of Huntsville, Alabama; father-in-law, George Thompson and Sharon of Wilsonville, Nebraska; his loving niece, Sherée and Jerome Hollenhors of McCook, Nebraska; and grandnieces and grandnephew whom he adored: Emmeleigh, Olivia, Ava, Huxlea, and Creighton as well as numerous other friends. Preceding him in death were his mother, Klair and brother Joel; his mother-in-law, Eldonna Thompson; and his beloved nephew, Anthony Eschliman.
In accordance with John’s request, no services will be held, and in lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Josie Harper Hospice House, Omaha, Nebraska.
