John Crawford Walker

WALKER, John Crawford Apr 10, 1929 – Jun 8, 2013 Died at Veterans Home in Norfolk, Nebraska. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to O. Edward and Edith (Dunlap) Walker. Graduated from University of Minnesota in 1952 with degree in Engineering. Served in the U. S. Navy, 1952-1955. Worked for Northwestern Bell from 1955 until retirement in 1986. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Alice Walker Kittams; brothers: Edward, George and Walter. Survived by wife of 60 years, Marilyn Walker; sons: David of Camano Island, WA, Russell (Dalene) of Lincoln, NE, Douglas of Coatesville, PA, and Roger (Janet) of Omaha; granddaughters, Kathleen and Alicia; grandsons: Eric (Kate), John (Tiffany), Michael, Dalton, Matthew, and Makhi; great-grandchildren, Maddison and Ethan. MEMORIAL SERVICE Wednesday, June 12th at 3pm at Pacific Hills Lutheran Church, 1110 S. 90 St. Military honors at church provided by Millard American Legion Post 374 and VFW Post 8334. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Pacific Hills Lutheran Church or to a charity of your choice.

    My heartfelt condolences to your family. Some of my fondest memories are of your lovely family and the good times James and I had as your next door neighbors – including your family at our wedding and Doug and Roger “mothballing” my Mach 1.- which is now with Bethany in Seattle!
