John D. Pistillo
June 23, 1943 – March 12, 2025
John D. Pistillo was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Immaculate Conception for primary school and Creighton Prep High School. John served in the Marine Corps Reserve and was trained at both Camp LeJeune, N.C. and Quantico, VA. He served as a Motor Transport Specialist.
John started his working career as an ironworker, and was a longtime member of Ironworker Union 21. He also worked as a machinist and dispatcher and owned and operated a marble sink manufacturing company.
John was a dedicated family man and knew from the moment he met his wife, Judith, that they would spend their lives together. They had three children: Matthew, Jennifer and Thomas. John and Judi raised their family in Millard and were involved in their children’s activities such as coaching soccer teams, and participating in Boy Scout and Girl Scout functions. John enjoyed spending time outdoors and could be found camping or hunting with his family whenever he had free time. John was preceded in death by his wife, Judith; and his son, Matthew.
John is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Darren); grandchildren: Reagan, Campbell, Cade and Charles; son, Thomas (Mira); sister, Patricia; brothers, Mike and Don.
VISITATION: Monday March 17, 2025, from 11:00AM at West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha with GRAVESIDE SERVICE at Resurrection Cemetery, located at 7800 West Center Road, at 1:00PM.
