Spreitzer, John D. December 11, 1922 – December 21, 2015 Bellevue. Preceded by parents, Aloysius and Elizabeth Spreitzer; siblings, Edward and Donald Speitzer. John enlisted in the United States Navy on December 12, 1942 at the age of 20 and served on the USS Boise to the rank of fireman, First Class, until his honorable discharge on December 11, 1945. During his years of service he received The WWII Victory Medal, The WWII American Campaign Medal, The Asian Pacific Star (1 Star), The Phillipine Liberation (2 Stars), and the Good Conduct Medal. Survived by wife Shirley; children, Faith Ann Evans (John), Lora Traggiai (Ron); grandchildren, Sean, Veronica, Lauren and Tony; great grandchild Alexis; siblings, Catherine Rhoades, Marie Skavaril, Richard Spreitzer (Deanna), Theresa Bennett (Norman); numerous nieces and nephews.
