John was my oldest friend of athletics, we were fast friends on the 8 and under Omaha Field Club Swim Team and his wonderful older sisters certainly kept us in line with Momma Kay At Omaha Creighton Prep we were locker partners and teammates on the gridiron for one critical year in 10th grade. We did everything together that year. He was always the toughest to bring down in the. running back corps of CP. When he made the Fire Department he finally found his mission. He saved a lot of lives, including mine on some nights way back when. May God give you peace now as one of Omaha’s best and bravest John.
