John H. “Jack” Garlock, Jr.
June 5, 1954 – August 28, 2023
John H (Jack) Garlock Jr., (69) born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on June 5, 1954, passed away on August 28, 2023 surrounded by family. Jack graduated from Westside High in 1972 and went on to Kearney State College. After graduating Jack started his long and successful career. He started off working with Rockwell Power Tools in 1977 and continued to work his way up in the industry becoming president of Porter Cable, Jackson, TN, then president of Stanley Doors in Charlotte, NC, and eventually president of Stanley Bostich, East Greenwich, RI. Jack was passionate about his career and very well known in the industry. Anyone who met Jack would undoubtedly remember his bold personality and generosity. He loved to entertain and travel, both locally and internationally. Jack was an avid Nebraska Huskers fan and collected any Nebraska memorabilia any chance he got. No matter where he was living he always held Big Red close to his heart. As Jack got older he loved spending his time with his family out on the lake.
Jack is survived by his three children: John Garlock III, Sarah Garlock, Mark Garlock (Ariana), his brother Chuck Garlock (Kim), his sisters Sally and Nancy, and Susan Garlock, mother of his children. Jack was predeceased by his parents Jack Garlock Sr, his mother Peg Taylor and stepfather Ralph Taylor.
Visitation on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m at Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak & Cutler, West Center Chapel, 7805 W. Center Road, Omaha, NE 68124.

Jack was a tremendous support all during my career. He bonded with people and was good friend, mentor and companion. I’ll miss him greatly and remember how he built me up over the years.
