John J. Casey

August 28, 1935 – December 15, 2022

Preceded in death by his wife Ann; his parents, Clarence and Mary Casey; granddaughter, Audrey Keiner; sister, Patricia Shirey; and brother-in-law, Raymond Wingate. Survived by daughters: Kellie Hoffmann (Rich), Kathy Corliss (Rory), Kerry Vuagniaux (Kent), Kris Smith (David), and Karen Keiner (Eric); grandchildren: Shelby Hoffmann (Wyatt Kile), Paige Hoffmann (Jayden Becker), Kacie Hoffmann, Colin Corliss (Baylee), Katy Sousan (Ben), Ryan Vuagniaux, Ashley Dean, Madison Tomanek (Dylan), Jackson Smith, Brady Smith, Clare Keiner, and Elly Keiner; great-grandchildren: Charlie Corliss and Ava Tomanek, Isabelle Vuagniaux, Lucas Vuagniaux, Jacob Dean, and Henlee Dean; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Snook (Roger) and Dee Wingate; and many nieces and nephews.

An Army veteran, John lived in Omaha his whole life. He enjoyed horse racing, hockey, and traveling. He was a proud Teamster his whole working life and also very proud of his Irish heritage. John was much loved and will be missed greatly. May he rest in peace.

VISITATION: Wednesday, December 21st from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Thursday, December 22nd at 10am, Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 5219 S. 53rd St.  Interment, Resurrection Cemetery with Military Honors.  Memorials are suggested to Via Christe Assisted Living and AseraCare Hospice.
