Jay Jay was a wonderful young man. He lit up a room when he walked in. He was kind to everyone. He knew how to be a friend and demonstrated that in so many ways. There are no words to express our sorrow to all who loved him. He will never be forgotten.

Our hearts and prayers have been with you and will continue to be with you during this very difficult time. I remember JJ as a little boy, running around the ball park during our softball tournaments. I also remember him as the man we ran into for the last time this past winter. We hugged, he asked about family, and we shared many laughs and memories like no time had passed at all. Although JJ will be greatly missed, I pray that he remains more present than ever in your hearts and prayers.

    Love,
    The Coulters

JJ was my Freshman Baseball coach in high school. I looked up to him and appreciated each time I encountered him. This is so very sad because he had such a loveable spirit to him. You couldn’t help but enjoy his company. Prayers go out to all the family and friends he touched.

Although i didn’t know JJ, i wanted to reach out and let you know your tribute at Walnut Grove park is Wonderful!!! I used to come to this park in my teenage years. After being out of state so many years, i have settled back in the millard area 40 years later! Im disabled now, and Love the bench you set up in front of the lake is quite comforting both physically and mentally as i admire the flowers left on the bench so many times throught the year!!! Wish id have known him as such a tribute tells me what a fine human being he must have been!!!
Many prayers to you and yours Ron McGuire

I’m at Walnut Grove I come here often on the weekends with my dogs and family. I’ve been noticing benches have been going up and they’re all in memory of. JJ Ammerman, I take every day as another day to make money. I’m getting by week by week. I come here and I sit down on this bench and I googled this guy and I realize wow what a good young man. Life is too short!! Thanks for the bench. I’m 43 my birthday is 6/23/79.
