John J. “Jack” Degan, 80, of Omaha died peacefully in his sleep on January 24, 2024. He was born to Edward and Kathryn Degan in Omaha, Nebraska on August 26, 1943.

Jack adored his four grandchildren, his daughter-in law, son-in-law and his extended family members:  Savannah Degan, Klaus Degan, Jonny Mass (wife Emily Mass), Maddie Purugganan (husband Michael Purugganan), Janet Degan and Anthony Mass.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Jack’s life on Sunday, February 18th from 2:00-5:00pm at 88 Tactical, 14350 Shepard Street, Omaha, NE. Entry is on the Members entrance side and an escort will be provided.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinsons in honor of Jack’s memory.

I was in Millard Rorary with Jack from 1999 for a good number of years. I remember him as being a very nice guy. He was friendly, honest and kind. I am so sorry for your loss.
