John K. “Jack” Chedester, Ph.D.
Born June 27, 1931 – Died May 8, 2025
John, age 93, passed peacefully at Brookestone Meadows. He was a graduate of Central High School, University of Nebraska – Lincoln, and New York University. John was a long-time teacher of English at Creighton Prep, Metropolitan Community College, and Bellevue University.
John was pre-deceased by his parents, Raymond and Dorothy; his brother, Lt. Col. Robert, and wife, Molly. He is survived by sister in law, JoAnn and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
John donated his body to Creighton University and the Nebraska Anatomical Board. Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 31, 10:30 a.m. at St John’s Church. Inurnment at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Jesuit Academy or St John Church.
