John Lee and I were the first two Minier grandchildren, so we spent many summer holidays and Christmases together with the family in Craig, Nebraska. I enjoyed every visit with him over the years, but a favorite memory is from the 1980s when his mother Harriet and her sister Imy organized a summer family reunion at a lake in Minnesota. John and Vicki and their children arrived in a huge motorhome that belonged to his boss, and when John wheeled it into the resort, he tapped the horn and it played the Nebraska fight song. His grin was as memorable as the vehicle itself.
