John Richard Love, Jr. was born April 26, 1976, to John and Diane Love.  John passed away on January 11, 2022, at the age of 45.  He was preceded in death by grandparents, Walter and Dorothy Calabretto, Jane and Jim Coffman; great-grandmother, Mary Sedlak.  Survived by parents, John and Diane Love; sister and brother-in-law, Gina and Tucker Webber; nieces: Whitney, Jordan, Siena, and Kaci; sons: Johnathan, Tyler, and Hunter; daughter, Allyson; and his beloved dog, Walter; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

John spent his youth playing little league baseball, skateboarding, and swimming with friends at the neighborhood pool.  He began his career in the restaurant industry when he was 15 years old.  John started as a busboy and dishwasher, worked his way up to cook, and on to kitchen management.

John graduated from Ralston High School, class of 1994, and grew into an amazing man that built many relationships.  With the support of his first serious relationship, Elizabeth Banks, his first son, Johnathan Love, was born.  John went on to marry Tonisha Mayrer and his crew grew by two additional sons, Tyler and Hunter Love.  And with his girlfriend, Anna Scott, his only daughter was born, Allyson Scott.  John was a proud Dad.  He was thankful and respected the help of the kid’s mothers and bonus parents, James Banks and Shaun Mayrer, in raising his children to be the loving and perfect young adults that they are.

John enjoyed spending his free time fishing, camping and was always ready to cheer on the Bears.  He was a die-hard Chicago Bears Fan.  No matter how bad they played, John was still on the fan-wagon.  Much banter and laughs were had with constant exchange of digs between the boys, as they all liked different football teams.

John, you will be forever in our hearts and missed by all of us.
