John T. Hall

John Thomas Hall, 93 years old, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025 with family by his side.
John was born December 5, 1931, in Pender, NE to John and Catherine Hall. He was the oldest of four children. John enjoyed growing up on a farm in Iowa. He liked working beside his Dad, and playing with his pet nanny goat. John was a graduate of Iowa State University where he earned top honors graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science.
On June 29, 1957, John and Bernice D. Lempke were married in Emerson, Nebraska. John and Bernice shared their love with four children. John was a wonderful husband and loving father.
John’s career accomplishments led him to be the Executive Vice President of Production and Purchasing at Standard Chemical Manufacturing Company, Omaha, NE. He was instrumental in the formulation and development of liquid feed Prolasses. With his leadership, the company expanded from two plants to ten plants, all in the Midwest.
John most treasured spending time with his family. John enjoyed family dinners around the dining room table and Sunday afternoon drives to visit relatives. He actively supported his children’s education and activities, he especially enjoyed cheering at his son John’s football games.
John was a good friend to many, always willing to help. He took pleasure in telling stories and sharing his vast knowledge. John valued being a Cub Scout Leader and an active member of Kiwanis, volunteering in many community activities. John sang in the Church Choir and was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church.
John is survived by his wife, Bernice D. Hall; his children, Catherine Harrelson (Thomas), Lori Hall, and Sheryl Hall; and four grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, a sister; and his beloved son, John Sumner Hall.
Memorials will be donated to the Presbyterian Church of the Cross. The family wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to Pastor Marshal Zieman, Pastor Josh Garry, and the many friends and caregivers who have supported our family.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday, August 20, 2025, 11:00AM officiated by Pastor Josh Garry with VISITATION beginning at 10:00AM at Presbyterian Church of the Cross, 1517 S. 114th St., Omaha. A luncheon will follow the Burial Service at the church.
BURIAL MEMORIAL SERVICE: Evergreen Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Presbyterian Church of the Cross.
