Johnie Melvin Hardin 

July 25, 1947 – December 11, 2021. 

Born in Louisville, Mississippi, to the late Lelah Stephen Walker-Hardin and the late Willie Melvin Hardin, both of Mississippi.  Preceded in the death of brothers, Henry Lee Walker, Billy Joe Walker; sister, Mary D. Walker Stewart.  Survived by brothers: Alfred Walker of Columbus, Mississippi, Lanzell Walker of Denham Springs, Louisiana, Carrothers Hardin of Omaha, Nebraska; stepsister, Ozella Frazier of Omaha, NE, stepbrother, Larrie Hardin of Omaha, NE; children: Angela Hardin of Omaha, NE, Cordell Simms of Lincoln, NE, Tina Hardin of Omaha, NE, Tammy and Randy Johson of Omaha, NE, Jonnetta Hardin (Native of Omaha now living in Texas), Kawanda Brown (Native of Omaha now living in California), Tameka Hardin of Wichita, Kansas; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Johnie was known for his ability to speak up when things weren’t right. Willing to help others when in need.  He was a sharp dresser and will be remembered for his smile.

Many thanks to the Hillcrest Hospice nurses and staff, to the nurses at Omaha Nursing and Rehabilitation, thanks for your kindness and patience. May the Lord continue to keep you and bless you.

Interment: Springhill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 720 Crystal Ridge Road, Louisville, MS 39339
