Rodney O. Johnson Aug 25, 1937 – Dec 4, 2015 Rod grew up in Sharon, North Dakota., then moved to Valentine, Nebraska, where he graduated from High School. He attended Wayne State College, and spent 35 years in School District #66, serving as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction his last few years. He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid Husker fan, and spent many Saturdays at Memorial Stadium. Preceded in death by parents, Chester and Viola Johnson; brothers, Jim and Leo Johnson. Survived by wife, Peg; children: Jill Bodwell (Jamie), Jeff Johnson (Judy), and Jay Johnson (Katie Risley); grandchildren: James and Julia Bodwell, Ryne, Tyler and Trevor Johnson. Family will receive friends Monday, December 7th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, December 8th at 11am at Presbyterian Church of the Cross,1517 South 114th Street. Private Interment. The family suggests memorials to Westside Foundation or Presbyterian Church of the Cross.
