My condolences to Renee, Brad, Pat, Todd and their families. I understand fully just how devastating a loss this is, and know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. It seems unreal that Uncle Joe is gone, and on my own father’s death anniversary, yet 5 years apart. I have so many memories growing up with all you boys, at your house in Millard, at our family farm in Cedar Bluffs and everywhere in between. I am so sorry for the loss you all are feeling, and I wish you all peace. Love you all. Take Care Annette (Kucera) Scarlett

I have prayed for Uncle Joe, and have offered a mass for him and his soul. I take comfort in the fact he was not alone at the end, given this time we are living in, I was not sure that you all would be allowed in with him. I hope we call all remain in touch and that we will see each other at upcoming Kucera Family Reunions. Family is SO important, and I will keep all our past memories close to my heart. Heaven gained a good man, and I know Heaven is just a bit louder these days, with all the Kucera siblings back together.

Dear Brad and all your extended family: I remember you well from Prep, where I was teaching while you were a student there. I met your parents at sporting events and always enjoyed them. I am sorry for the loss of your father, and will remember him at Mass. I pray that God welcome him home with joy, and comfort you and all your family. -Fr. Jim Clifton, SJ
