Joseph John “Jack” Pleiss

November 22, 1945 – April 4, 2022

Joseph John “Jack” Pleiss passed away peacefully on April 4th at his home.  He was 76.  The son of the late John and Josephine (Stanek) Pleiss, Jack was born on November 22, 1945 in Omaha, where he lived most of his life.  He enjoyed everything about trains, eating, and, in his younger years, coffee.

Jack was mentally handicapped.  The family thanks his many caregivers over the years—at home, in the day workshop program, and when in in the hospital.

Jack is survived by a sister, Mary Svoboda; nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Wondrasek (Vince) and Margaret Milligan.

VISITATION:  Thursday, April 7th from 6pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Friday, April 8th at 11am, Holy Cross Catholic Church, 4810 Woolworth Ave.  Interment: Calvary Cemetery.
