Joseph John Kresnik, Jr.
June 12, 1943 – March 28, 2025
Joseph J. Kresnik Jr., better known as Joe to family and friends, was the eldest son of Joseph J. Kresnik Sr., and Frances Ritzo Kresnik. They called South Omaha home where the family was long time members of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and School. He attended South High before enlisting in the US Navy. Petty Officer Second Class Kresnik made his home in California where he met his wife Jan and made a wonderful life with two sons (Tony & Todd) and a daughter (Terri). He was a simple, hard-working man that made a career as a Tile Setter both in California and later in his home state of Nebraska. Joe had a passion for baseball that was showcased through coaching his two sons and grandson. The contributions he made to the sport were endless, capturing Championship titles at all levels. If he wasn’t on a baseball field, he would be enjoying his other favorite pastime of fishing. Joe was known as an honest man of high morals and integrity. He was a wonderful role model to his kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews. Later in life, Joe got a second chance at love and married Sharon Boldt where they shared a wonderful life of 29 years together. They loved attending grandchildren’s events, traveling, spending time with friends and playing Yahtzee!
