SKUDLAREK Joseph John, Sr. Sep 24, 1923 Oct 9, 2014 Age 91, World War II Army Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient. Member K. of C. and Fourth Degree Chalice Club, Bellevue Assembly. For 65 years he was the beloved husband of Philomena Pal Kathrine Skudlarek, who survives him. He is also survived by son, Joseph J. Skudlarek of Omaha; daughter, Barbara Ann Buffy Bartos (spouse, Bernie) of Minnetonka, MN; five grandchildren: Jay Skudlarek, Andy Skudlarek (spouse Nicole), Dan Skudlarek (spouse Nancy), all of Omaha, Bern Bartos (spouse Tina) of St. Louis Park, MN, and Caitlin Brinkman (spouse Brandon) of Bloomington, MN; 7 great-grandchildren: twins Noah and Faith, Jacob, Hannah and Addison, all of Omaha, Parker Bartos and Baby Boy Bartos (due any day), both of St. Louis Park, MN; sister, Delores Kirchofer of Omaha; sisters-in-law: Pat Skudlarek of South Bend, IN, Rita Stoysich and Frances Bukowski, both of Omaha, and Delores Fortwengler of Parkers Prairie, MN; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lucille Skudlarek; Pals beloved twin, Felicia; his sister, Mary Jean Feichtinger; brothers, Robert Skudlarek and Bernard Skudlarek. Joes work is now finished. God and St. John Paul II have called him home. With peace and love, we say farewell to Pals husband; Buffy and Joeys Dad; Grandpa, Great-grandpa, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, as he rests now in eternal heavenly peace. VISITATION begins Sunday, October 12th at 5pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, with VIGIL SERVICE to follow at 6pm at the church. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Monday, October 13th at 10:30am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Entombment, Calvary Mausoleum with military rites by Benson VFW Post 2503. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Thomas More Catholic Church or your favorite charity.
