Joseph M. Brown

October 25, 1958 – October 27, 2024

Joseph Michael Brown, affectionately known as Joe or Joey, passed away on October 27, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on October 25, 1958, in South Omaha, NE, he spent his final years in Waterloo, NE, where he created countless memories with family and friends.

Joe was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, an accomplishment that filled him with immense pride throughout his life. He carried that sense of duty into his community, volunteering with the Carter Lake Fire Department, where he formed many lasting friendships. He was a devoted father to his daughters, Melissa (Sean) Lockard and Tracy Brown, and cherished being a grandpa to his beloved granddaughter, Olivia Lockard.

A playful and charismatic individual, Joe had a knack for making those around him laugh. He enjoyed teasing his loved ones and was known for his generous spirit and loyalty. His favorite pastimes included riding motorcycles, karaoke, listening to country music, and spending quality time with friends, particularly by the serene waters of the lake catching fish. A true fan of Nebraska Cornhusker Football, Joe always found joy in cheering on his team. GBR!

Joe is survived by his siblings: Bob, Rich (Teresa), Larry (Pat); twin sister, Joanne; he was the best Uncle Joey to many nieces and nephews, who will miss his vibrant presence dearly. He is now reunited in death with his mom, Catherine; dad, Joseph; and his first love, Angie Falcon.

Joe will be remembered as a great guy, a proud South Omaha Boy (SOB), and a man who truly valued the connections he made throughout his life. His playful spirit and loving nature will leave a lasting impact on all who knew him.
