Our sympathy to everyone in the family. We knew Joe for decades via activities/activism in the county and state Democratic Party; in the last several years we participated in the Monthly Brunch he initiated at LaPeep’s. In the last 1-2 years, we valued our weekly visits with him on Saturday mornings at Westgate. I know you know what a positive difference he made in and for the lives of so many via his labor union activities. As you grieve, also, celebrate those parts of who he was. Sadden to hear of Joe’s passing. His passion, drive and knowledge of issues he worked to change or improve, will be missed. Condolences to the family and his many, many friends.

To the Orsi Family: I am so very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Joe some years ago, he was such a kind & caring person. I am a cousin several times removed. My Father Carl Buono & the Orsi Grandmother were first cousins. God Bless and be with all of you during this most difficult time. In Christian Love and Caring — Judy Buono

I was so sorry to hear of Joe’s passing away. I remember all the many times of Joe at union meetings, events, going to many union activities. He was always one person you could count on being there everytime. He will be missed very much.

I cannot believe one year has passed. I too knew Joe from our monthly brunches at La Peeps. All for the cause of making life better for all. That’s what Joe did. He was an inspiration to many.
