PIGAGA, Joseph, Oct 22, 1924 – May 14, 2010. Born in Needham, MA; passed away in Omaha. Preceded in death by parents, Peter and Rose; sisters, Sophia Pochebit and Anna Olbrys; wife of 31 years, Irene Hollenback Pigaga. Survived by sister Josephine Wallis of Needham, MA; wife of 28 years, Mavis Ezersky Pigaga; sons, Thom (Teresa) and Carl (Lois) Pigaga; daughter Janice Samson (Rick); granddaughters: Kate and Anne Pigaga; grandsons: Joe, Andrew and Jon Samson, all of Omaha; stepsons Lowell Ezersky of Gettysburg, PA, Jim Ezersky (Gail) and grandchildren: Jaime Sharp (Kevin), David and Teresa Ezersky of Edmond, OK. U.S. Navy veteran, longtime member of American Legion, and guest of Heartland Honor Flight 6. One of the pillars of Rockbrook United Methodist Church since 1963. A better man and father than he ever knew, he won a peaceful end, without pain and surrounded by his family. A long life well lived. CELEBRATION SERVICE Wednesday, 11am, Rockbrook United Methodist Church, 9855 W. Center Rd. Private interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military rites. VISITATION from 3pm Tuesday, with family receiving friends 6pm-8pm at the West Center Chapel. Memorials are suggested to Rockbrook United Methodist Church.
