His mother passed away during his birth, and his dad, unable to care for a baby, asked Marie’s sister and brother-in-law, William and Agnes McCafferty, if they would let the baby live with them. Costello.

Benjamin Boyd, and Kevin Boyd (Alexandra); daughter, Jodi DeBoer (Jay); McCaffertys: sisters, Winnie Sage (Bill), Peggy Hoskins (Martin), Gerrie Zimmerman, Mary Nastase, and Kathy Griffith (Dick); brother, William J McCafferty (Mary); 13 grandchildren: Fiona, Nicholas and Sophie Boyd, Paul, Adam, Isaac, Jane, Lucy and Gregory DeBoer, Andrew, Sean, Ashley and Bailey Boyd; many nieces and nephews; lifelong friend, Larry Huston.
