Joshua Henry Wall
September 2, 1981 – March 11, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joshua Henry Wall, who left this world on March 11, 2025, at the age of 43. Josh was born on September 2, 1981, to parents Nathan and Carol in Oakland, CA. As the son of missionaries, he spent his early years in various places, including time in the Philippines, which he remembered fondly. Eventually his family settled in Minden, Nebraska and he graduated from Minden High School in 2000.
Following graduation, Josh joined the United States Navy, where he proudly served three years and trained as a combat photographer. After his military service, he moved to Denver, Colorado, where he met Amanda McDaniel. The two were married and built a life together, welcoming three wonderful children—Madison, Mason, and Micah.
Josh and his family made their home in several places over the years, including Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; and Kearney, Lincoln, and Elkhorn, NE. No matter where he lived, he carried with him an unwavering love for his family, a dedication to his friends, and a heart full of kindness. He was a devoted father, a loving husband, a caring son, a supportive brother, and a great friend to many.
Josh’s legacy of love and devotion lives on in his children: Madison McKenzie (16), Mason Zander (14), and Micah Zane (11). He is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Carol and Randy Hoffman; his father, Nathan Wall; his brother, Matt Wall, and his wife, Sarah; as well as his nephews, Dylan and Braeden, and his niece, Kaylee.
Josh’s life was defined by his deep love for his family, his strong sense of duty, his ability to bring laughter and warmth to those around him, and his unwavering loyalty to the Colorado Rockies. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 1:00pm at Heafey Hoffmann Dworak Cutler Funeral Home (7805 West Center Road, Omaha, NE 68124). Interment will be held at a later date.
May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved, and his impact will never be forgotten.

Yes he will be missed and remembered fondly. BLESSINGS TO ALL !
I am a cousin of Josh. He was a very kind soul who will be missed. Even though we never lived near each other, he made an effort to keep in touch by phone which I always appreciated and it touched me deeply. Sending love and prayers to his family and those who were close to him.
My deepest condolences to the family
I served with Josh on the USS Sacramento along with our brothers and sisters in arms. We send condolences and prayers to his wife, children, family and friends. Gone too soon.
Josh was a very good friend of mine and my family. We would have him over for dinner, go to the farmer’s market in the summer and would have Sunday Funday, as he called it. He was such a kind person and so funny. He made us laugh all of the time. His children are amazing! We had them over for 4th of July and Micah ate a huge hamburger that we still talked about to this day. Christmas was also fun! We played UNO with the kids and shared many laughs. It is hard to believe this has happened and still doesn’t feel real. Josh – Kim, Elsa and I will miss you greatly. We love you and your kids always!
