    Devastated to hear about Jodie.

we’d been friends since 1963. Met her when she was a patient at St. Joes.

I am sorry to hear about Jodie. She and I have been friends since her Physician Mutual days. I have wonderful memories of our PMIC ladies group getting together for Christmas gatherings and eventually that included all of our children. Jodie was a kind and caring friend who adored her cats! She will be greatly missed. Thoughts and prayers to you all.

I’m very sorry to hear about the passing of Jody Fransen. I met Jody in 1978 I believe when my band BLACKBIRD from Illinois was on tour and played in Nebraska at Club 89. For years she and her friend Judy would follow us around and we always had a blast together. Jody and I stayed in touch ever since then, and periodically I would send her current recordings of my original material. She would always remind me of the many times we’d get together from our shows. Over the years we’d talk on the phone a few times, to catch up. She was one sweet lady. A real sweetheart. I will miss her. Thanks for staying friends all this time Jody! Til we meet again. You were an angel here on earth.

I forgot to add, back then we used to kud around with her as to what Ak Sar Ben was. We always thought it sounded like a different language and we used to pretend it was. I’d talk w an Indian accent thinking it was some Indian Term.. we had such fun w that. Thanks for everything Jody!

Scott, thank you so much for your wonderful tribute to our sister Jodie! We were going through pictures at her apt today and saw many for the Blackbirds. We had no idea she was such a fan;however, we are not surprised! She truly was a sweet and wonderful woman! Thanks for your friendship! Sheila and Vickie

I am so sorry to hear of Jodie’s passing. I met Jodie while working at Physicians. We and a couple of others had a “lunch group”. After the majority of us left the company, we still got together. We celebrated holidays, the births of our friends children and socializing together. I will greatly miss her. She was always great at telling me, “I love you and so does Jesus.”. I will miss you caring words and sweet personality, Jodie.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Jodie’s passing. She was a kind and giving person that I had the privilege to know for over 20 years. She will be greatly missed.
