Judith A. (Wolff) Weinfurtner

Judith A. (Wolff) Weinfurtner

February 15, 1938 – October 17, 2020

Judy was married to Carl Weinfurtner on October 30, 1965.  This month they celebrate 55 years together.  Together they raised three children: Carl Jr., Christie Kolasch and Cori Giddings.

Judy was a woman who loved to talk and be surrounded by her family and friends (hence the nickname JAWS). She was a woman of faith, an optimist, a bird lover, and had a smile that lit up a room.  She was very active in various Christ the King prayer and support groups.

Her devotion to her husband, kids and grandkids was unparalleled.  Family was everything to her and she spent a better part of it supporting those around her.  Judy was always ready with words of encouragement or wisdom no matter what the situation.

Preceded in death by parents, Howard B. and Beatrice Wolff; and brother, Terry Wolff.  Survived by husband, Carl Weinfurtner Sr.; son, Carl Weinfurtner Jr.; daughters, Christie Kolasch and Cori Giddings (Scott); grandchildren: Laura, Michael, Nicholas Kolasch, Cassidy and Caleb Loberg, Jordyn Giddings, Kolby and Karim Naaji; great-granddaughter, Havynn; sister, Julie Pierson (Dick); and nephews: Greg, Eric and Matt.

VISITATION following CDC guidelines: Wednesday, October 21st from 5pm to 7pm, at Christ the King Catholic Church (654 S. 86th St.) followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Thursday, October 22nd, 10am, Christ the King Catholic Church.  INTERMENT: Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Christ the King Educational Trust.

Julie Bea, I am saddened to hear of the loss of your sister. But as you recently said she was ready to go and be with your mom and dad and Terry. I hope this brings you peace and consolation. I will not be able to join with you for any future services due to my treatments, But know that you and your family, Judy and her family are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Sally

We send you all our sympathy and prayers. Carl & CJ, we remember the years walking by your lake house or seeing CJ walk around the lakes and discovering your relation to Julie and Dick. A blessed, small world connection. Find comfort in memories, faith, family, & friends. God bless.

Dear Weinfurtner Family … Your family has always been faith, family and friends…kind, caring, thoughtful. Liz Haney and Christie were classmates & friends at Christ the King elementary in the 70’s… Judy was always there for everyone she knew – and the kids were “wait a day and the problem will probably solve itself”… My deepest Sympathy and many prayers will be for Judy and everyone that she knew and treasured. God Bless You. Jan H.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I’m sorry I did not see this announcement until after the fact. I will never forget the wonderful memories our families shared at Pauline and Carl’s house years ago. Unfortunately we lose touch with family over the years. I was blessed to be named after Pauline. I was a young girl when I met Judy, but I sure remember her. She and Carl will be in my thoughts and prayers.
