Judy and her brother, Bill, lived in Omaha, Nebraska, and Dorset, Minnesota.  In Minnesota, her family lived on a lake resort managed by their parents.  Judy graduated from Benson High School.  She attended Omaha University (UNO) and UNL.  Shortly after college, Judy met her husband, Tony.  They were married and had two sons, Paul Anthony and Michael Lee.

Judy worked at Avis Car Rental at the airport when her sons were little and then became a stay-at-home mom.

When her children got older, Judy became a successful business owner. Judy was a long-time member of the Omaha Sports Association, where she and Tony met many friends and enjoyed tennis together.

Judy and Tony moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, for his work.  She became involved in pottery. She took classes, bought a kiln, and made porcelain jewelry and other artwork.  Judy became so talented her artwork was featured and sold at galleries across Colorado and the southwest.  At Christmas, she would climb a ladder and decorate one of the cacti with Christmas lights.

Judy was also a dog lover, owning several Pekingese and Lhasa Apsos.
