Judith M. Wilfing

Judith M. Wilfing

November 29, 1943 – June 15, 2023

Judy Wilfing was born on November 29, 1943 and died on June 15, 2023.  She was 79 years old.  She passed away peacefully with family by her side.

Judy is survived by her husband of 61 years, Carl Wilfing; her sons: Mark Wilfing, Michael Wilfing (Doreen Lobo-Wilfing), and Matthew Wilfing (Glen McLaughlin); sister, Carol Schroeder (Carl); many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine Nekola, and father, Peter Nekola.

Judy was born in Omaha and graduated from Omaha South High School in 1961.  She married her childhood sweetheart (Carl) at the age of 18.  They were blessed with three wonderful sons whom Judy cherished throughout her life.  Over the years, Judy brought her boys up and then went to work for the Douglas County Treasurer’s Office until she retired in 2004.

After retirement Judy and her husband spent many wonderful times with family and friends traveling to many beautiful places around the world.  However, most important to her was visiting her two sons, Mark and Mike in California, and Matt in London, England.  Judy loved her cruises! Everyone she met fell in love with her and her fabulous smile.  Judy was a friend to many and enjoyed good times with them all.  Judy will be so sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.  Rest in peace in the hands of God!

VISITATION: Monday, June 19th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm.  Memorials will be directed by the family.
