Judy Kay Rus, age 67, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at The Abby of Le Mars Nursing Home in Le Mars, Iowa. Judy was born September 17, 1947 to Lee and Mildred (Staley) Parker in Pisgah, Iowa. Judy was raised in Mondamin, Iowa and graduated from West Harrison High School in 1966. After high school Judy married Wesby E. Rus on May 28, 1966 and to this union they had four children and one passed at birth. Judy worked at several restaurants as a waitress and a cook and she carried the World Herald. Later in life, Wes and Judy got divorced and she went with John Johnson and lived in Mapleton, Iowa. After the passing of John, Judy moved in with her son Terry. Judy helped raise her granddaughters Tina until she moved back home and Nicole Davis until she became ill. Judys hobbies were listening to music, spending time with her family and also playing with her dogs. Judy is preceded in death by her parents Lee and Mildred Parker; sister: Nancy, baby girl at birth Tina; great grandson: Jonathan at birth, two brother in laws Norman and Bill; special friend: John Johnson, and special friend: Wesby Rus. Survivors include her children: Teresa and husband Robert Wagner of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Terry Rus of Le Mars, Iowa, Tonny Rus and wife Brandy of Remsen, Iowa, sisters and brothers: Sharon (late Norm), Bonnie (late Bill), Leonard and wife Janice all of Mondamin, Iowa; Lyle and wife Deb of Carter Lake, Marilyn of Arkansas; grandchildren: Tina and husband Jeffery, Nicole, Rob; great grandchildren: Christopher, Timothy and Jonathan who passed at birth, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
