In Loving Memory

Kari Sidener, born July 19, 1969, in Wiesbaden, Germany died unexpectedly on August 8, 2021, in a house fire.  Kari graduated from Bellevue West High School class of 1987 and extended her education at Clarkson College School of Nursing to obtain her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.  Kari worked most of her career in the Intensive Care Unit at the Nebraska Medical Center and later transferred into Case Management Nursing.

Kari loved everything pink and all things that sparkled.  Her puppies Nala and Tula were her world, as were her fur babies in heaven, Yogi and Halo. She had the biggest heart and loved passionately.  Kari considered everyone her friend and treated all with much kindness. She loved to plan celebrations for any occasion.  Because of her thoughtful and giving heart we are left with many great memories.

Kari is survived by her “high school sweetheart” and husband of 35 years, Mark; oldest son, Christian Sidener (Hannah) and beloved grandson, Huxton; youngest son, Colton Sidener (Olivia Falt); mother, Allida Lentz; brother, Steven Lentz (Laura) and niece and nephew, Caden and Kendal; aunt and uncle, Joseph and Diana; as well as Mark’s siblings; Scott Sidener (Gina) and niece, Nikole; Shelly Lesley (Jason) and nieces and nephew, Olivia, Kali, and Easton; Heather Hawkins and nephews, Henry and Charles; as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Kari is preceded in death by her father, Steven Lentz.

Allida and family, Steve and I were devastated to hear about your daughter. When you lose a child, it is just very difficult to get through it..
When we think of deaths, we automatically think of an elderly person or someone who has been suffering from a disease or illness. It just catches us off guard, and totally speechless and heartbroken.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
And we know Steve was at The Lord’s door to embrace her.💕🙏
    Love Judy and Steve

To the family, my friendship with Kari was always so full of laughter- she lit up a room when she walked in with her smile. Her death has left a heartache no one can heal, however her life, and laughter she shared with so many is a memory that no one can take. No words will ever be able to express the comfort and peace I wish for you in the days ahead of you. Kari gave me some very fun memories and so many laughs that I will cherish forever. What an Angel Heaven was blessed to have- Love to you all Tracy and Bill Huckaby

To Kari’s entire family, I want to express my deepest sympathies regarding the loss of your daughter, wife, mom, Glammy… As a new manager, Kari was one of my first hires at CorVel. She was a much needed joy that came into my work life and then into my personal life. She was a ray of sunshine on every meeting, phone call, email or instant message sent. Since we worked remotely so we did not often see each other “in person”, but she often sent me many emoji’s thru our instant message platform that brighten my day. She will be greatly missed by myself and many others. There are not many people like Kari that come into your life. She will forever in my heart. Rest in peace my dear friend.

a continuation from the above guestbook signature: I worked with Kari during her illness and injury to her back in physical therapy and she her personality was very contagious. I have been saddened to hear of the loss of her life and feel she was robbed of all the future events that would of been forthcoming. But, I know she left this world being a inspiration to all she touched. She greatly loved her husband, children, pets, immediate family and “extended family and friends.” She loved to make people smile and her life was all about caring and loving others. In the short 2 years I knew her I loved her from day one! RIP Kari! May the heavenly doors open wide and welcome you to a place of rest.

My dearest friend Kari, When I saw your picture on the news my heart sunk and immediately went to your family. We talked about our husbands and children. Mark and you reminded me of the Cinderella story. We all know that Kari loved bling!!!! Mark their are 3 things to listen to which reminded me of what Kari would say. No. 1 If Tomorrow Starts Without Me by David Romano. No.2 Lionel Richie Goodbye and No.3 Colton Dixon The Otherside. Kari always signed her name with the dot of the I BEING A HEART. That was because she was genuine , loved her patients as well as her family!!!! Mark, know honestly you were a lucky husband, father and Kari’s Best Friend!!!! A person like Kari is a Rare Jewel!!!Thank you all for letting me know this wonderful friend who was your center of the universe!!! LOVE AND PRAYERS, Marie Schneider

I knew Kari in high school. Through Facebook, we enjoyed talking about how much we loved our Puppies. Kari was a lovely person back in the day and I will miss her presence on social media. May you and your furbabies RIP.

To the Family: I am so saddened by Kari’s passing. She had a smile that lit up the entire room. She was kind to everyone she came in contact with. I know how much she loved her family and she leaves a huge hole in the hearts of all who knew her. Praying for a peace that only God can provide for all of you in the coming days.
