VISITATION: Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the West Center Chapel.  GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Wednesday, June 25th at 12:00 noon at Hillcrest Cemetery, 5701 Center St., with luncheon to follow at the funeral home.

Karen L Staack, Age 79, Daughter of Paul L & Dorothy Federspiel, passed away peacefully Tuesday June 3rd, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born Wednesday, February 6th, 1946, in Great Falls, Montana.  She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1964.   She retired from the United States Postal Service in 2008, where she was a postal carrier and active member of her union.

Karen was a source of strength, warmth, and unwavering love. Her kindness, laughter, and wisdom touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Whether she was planting her flowers, sharing stories from the past, or simply sitting by your side, her presence made everything feel a little brighter. She could tell you almost any plant, where to plant it and when it will bloom.

She is survived by children, Aaron (Joannel) Staack, Patricia (Timothy) Garnett; grandchildren: Jacie Hough, Nicholas, and Jonathan Garnett; great-grandchild, Payton Hough; siblings: John (Kerry) Federspiel, Jim Federspiel, Don (Kay) Federspiel and Judy (Jerry) Moore; beloved pet, Sissy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Richard L Staack.

    I am so sorry for your loss.I only in the last 5 years made contact with my Federspiel cousins.Life fills up so quickly. I know her love of flowers gave her great joy. We have that in common. Prayers for all of you. Barbara
