Katherine Cora (Scholl) Troia
November 15, 1924 – October 6, 2022
Katherine Cora (Scholl) Troia of Omaha, Nebraska, was born in Genoa, Nebraska on November 15, 1924 to Nicholas and Eva Scholl and passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her on October 6, 2022 at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Carl J. Troia, M.D.
Katherine graduated from the College of Saint Mary as a Medical Technologist. Katherine was a member of and very active in Christ the King Church, Omaha, for almost 60 years. She had a deep devotion to the Virgin Mary and prayed the Rosary on a daily basis. She is survived by her six children: Dr. Sebastian (Barbara) Troia, Ginny (Nick) Troia Fusco, Carl J. (Cindy) Troia, Jr., Dr. Robert Troia (Dr. Carol Drake), Anne Troia, and Richard (Kimberly) Troia. She was blessed with 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
VISITATION: Monday Oct. 10th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Tuesday Oct. 11th at 10am, Christ the King Catholic Church, 654 S. 86th St. Entombment: Resurrection Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers and to honor Katherine, memorials may be sent to Christ the King, College of St. Mary, Autism Action Partnership, Special Olympics, United Cerebral Palsy of Nebraska, or Smile Train.

I loved Mrs Troia ( and Dr Troia as well) . They both treated me like one of their own. I appreciate all of the times I was able to see her. Rest In Peace now. Sending love to the family.
