Preceded in death by parents, James H. and Patricia M. (Gaughan) Lynch. Survived by brothers, James (Suzanne), and Thomas; children: Benjamin, Alison Walker (Danny), and Charlie; grandchildren, Dani and Jackson; uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.

Kathleen Ann Lynch was born on December 18, 1950, to James H. and Patricia M. (Gaughan) Lynch in Omaha, Nebraska.  She was the middle child and grew up among her large Irish Catholic family spending the summers at their summer house at Lake Wakonda where many happy memories were made.  Always popular in school at Westside High School, Kathleen was active in dramatics and voted yearbook queen.  She graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a B. A. in Journalism, and met her future husband, Randy Lechtenberger.  They were married on May 10, 1975, just days following the big Omaha tornado.  Their love produced three children: Benjamin, Alison, and Charlie. Kathleen made sure every birthday, holiday, and school activity was memorable for her children and their friends.  She loved working with children and pursued a career in comedy.  After retirement Kathleen devoted her life to her children, son-in-law, Danny, and grandchildren, Jackson and Dani.

She will be remembered for her love, dedication, and humor.  Everywhere Kathleen went she made friends and everyone she knew loved her.

Memorials to the charity of your choice.

Ben,Ali and Charlie my sincere sympathy to you with the passing of your dear Mom. We were neighbors when you all were very small and I so enjoyed her friendship. She was always welcoming to pull up a chair and sit in the driveway watching all the kids play. Your dad, too, May all the wonderful memories you have of your Mom hold her close. RIP dear lady!
