Well Kate, I can’t believe we’ve come to this. Others knew you better and may be able to articulate all you meant to them better then I can, but I wanted you to know how much I appreciated your boundless energy, your unflagging positivity, and your eagerness to help others. Oh, and your amazing laugh! That laugh punctuates almost every memory I have of you, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. You were a joy to be around, and the world is made poorer by no longer having you in it. We may not have gotten together as often as we should, but I will truly miss you. My heart goes out to your family and friends.

Kate the Great. That’s what I’d always write to you or call you. My Irish friend that gave to others through social causes or cared for the downtrodden. A brilliant spark in my life for over 40 years. My heartfelt condolences to Deborah and Brian and family, siblings, and tons of friends. My heart is heavy, but never richer since I got to call you my friend for so long. ☘️💚🙏😢

I had the pleasure of working with Kate for many years in the Geriatric Clinic at Methodist Hospital. She was a wonderful nurse and truly dedicated to this special group of patients, She had a contagious laugh that enveloped all who were around her. She spoke of her family often and I am so sorry for your loss.
