Kathleen E. (Benak) Lindsay
September 26, 1959 – February 26, 2025
Passed peacefully surrounded by family after an 11-year battle with Multiple Systems Atrophy. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Norma Benak; She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Allan; Son John and Daughter Korisa Schoepke (Adam); Cherished granddaughters Nora and Josephine.
Kathy was a passionate animal advocate and would have fed the world’s birds and squirrels had she had the chance. She loved the outdoors, camping and all family activities. Sports were a passion and viewing all Husker sports was a regular event. Her Nebraska hoodie collection is testament to that. Her grit and strength throughout her 11-year battle was second to none.
Kathy will be cremated with her remains spread at her special Colorado location where she vacationed many times since her childhood.
A celebration of her life will be scheduled at a later date.
