Kathleen Marie Kennedy Tuttle
February 10, 1937 – March 10, 2023
Kathleen Marie Kennedy Tuttle, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2023, in Farmer Branch, Texas. Born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to her parents, John J. and Mary Frances Newman Kennedy. Kathleen grew up with seven siblings and graduated from St. Mary’s Academy of Omaha in 1954. She married the love of her life, Francis “Buzz” Tuttle, on September 27, 1958.
Kathleen worked for many years at Northwestern Bell (later US West) in finance management, finally retiring after 46 years of service.
An avid sports fan, Kathleen had a passion for watching Husker football, Creighton basketball, and Nebraska women’s volleyball, never missing a game. She enjoyed playing bridge and golf with friends, and she and Buzz also bowled together in many leagues.
Kathleen and Buzz were happily married for 55 years until Buzz’s passing in 2013. Her family and friendships were a continuing source of joy to her, and she cherished them all. A devout Catholic, Kathleen loved the music and liturgy of every mass.
Kathleen moved to Dallas in March 2020 to live with her son, Thomas, and daughter-in-law, Maria. Her remaining years were spent in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Francis “Buzz” Tuttle; parents, John and Mary Kennedy; siblings and spouses, Mary Brudney, Joseph Brudney, Eleanor Roslund, Louis Roslund, Elizabeth Cooney, Frank Cooney, Patricia Griffith, Robert Griffith, John E. Kennedy, Lucille Kennedy, Edward Kennedy, Linda Kennedy.
She is survived by her son, Thomas (Maria) Tuttle; grandchildren: Terez (Matt) Leach, Benjamin Tuttle, and Katherine Tuttle; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Lucas Leach; sister, Lori (Lou) Bendon; sister-in-law, Judy McClain; brother-in-law, David (DeeAnn) Tuttle and numerous nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Friday, April 14th, at 9:30am, followed by a MEMORIAL MASS at 10:30am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Omaha. Internment: Calvary Cemetery

I had the pleasure of working with both Kathleen and Eleanor for many years. May they both rest in peace.
Kathleen “Tootie” was a life long friend. If not in person in my thoughts. Tom, you were her always so loved. Rest in Peace.
