MILLER, Keith, Jun 22, 1924 Jul 19, 2012. Keith Miller died peacefully at his home in Omaha on July 19, 2012. He was born on June 22, 1924 in McCook, Nebraska to Dale and Edythe (Rupp) Miller. He moved to Colorado in 1935 and graduated from Greeley High School, where he excelled in basketball and football, and attended the University of Colorado and Harvard Business School. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he graduated in 1949 from the University of Colorado Law School. After moving back to Nebraska in 1952, Keith practiced law in Omaha for over sixty years, most recently with the Croker Huck law firm. He was a prominent tax and estate planning lawyer and worked for families and businesses throughout Nebraska and Iowa, in some cases serving three generations of one family. Keith practiced Transcendental Meditation and Primordial Sound Meditation for many years and helped share the practice with kids at the Boys and Girls Clubs in Omaha. He was an avid Cornhusker fan and did not miss a Nebraska home football game for over forty years. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jim Wheeler, and his beloved daughter, Lyn Dorie Miller. He is survived by his children: Terry Miller (Sue Harrington) of Silver Bay, MN, Zach Miller (Val) of Boulder, CO and Melanie Miller of New York City, NY; siblings: Dale Miller (Betty) of Missouri, Jim Miller (Millie) of New Mexico, Shirley Wheeler of Colorado and Lynn Miller (Jean) of Massachusetts; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
