Kelly J. Nath

Kelly J. Nath

Kelly was born on September 28, 1961, to Darreld and Gayle Carroll in Omaha, Nebraska. She grew up with her two sisters, Jacque and Michelle. Kelly graduated from Bryan High School in 1979. She married Steven Nath and they had two terrific children. The family moved throughout the Midwest before settling in Papillion, NE, which was her favorite town. Her kids, Katie and Sam, were her everything. In 2018, she became a grandma and loved spending time with her grandsons, Grant and Vincent. She enjoyed watching them grow and was very proud of them. Kelly was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandma, and friend. Kelly shared her latter years with the love of her life, Bill Bare. The two met at Borsheims,  where she worked for the last thirteen years.

Kelly’s interests included gardening, relaxing at home, watching her favorite TV shows, snacking on her favorite foods, and interior decorating. She was especially fond of decorating for the holidays. Her porch was the centerpiece of her holiday haven, where Kelly planned every detail. You could usually find her sitting outside with a Scooter’s Caramelicious. She was always willing to lend a hand to help a friend. Kelly will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by father, Darreld Carroll; sister, Jacque Stroud; and former husband, Steven Nath.  She is survived by mother, Gayle Carroll; sister, Michelle Haynes; children, Katie (Dan) Culbertson and Samuel Nath; grandsons, Grant and Vincent Culbertson; partner, Bill Bare; her extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 29th, at 4:00 p.m. at the West Center Chapel, 7805 W. Center Rd, followed by a Service at 6:00 p.m.

Memorials in Kelly’s honor may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Our family lived up the street from the Carrolls, a lot of laughs and footballs went on living on Glasgow Ave. Kelly was a great childhood friend back in the day & we chatted a lot on FB in our adult years catching up on life the good and bad. I will certainly miss our chats. Hug my sweet boy for me. See ya when I see you sweet friend!

I met Kelly at Borsheims. She was a great lady and always so cheerful. She absolutely loved her family and would do anything for them. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Kelly was a beautiful person. She was so kind to my sister Annette when she was sick. Much love to her family during this very sad time.

My thoughts and prayers are with Bill, Bobby, and the entire family. I didn’t know her personally. Henry and Louis spoke very fondly of her. She was such a kind lady.

I will miss my dear friend. As with many others, whose lives she touched, she was always there at key moments in my life. So many times, taken for granted at the time, now are cherished memories. I will always remember her sense of humor, her charm and the way she cared about those around her. Kelly was always that true love and loyal friend everyone dreams about. Will miss you “Sarge,” you and your “Bossy” love. There will never be another you. Thank you for being you ❤️
