Blessed to have gotten to meet my Great Great Uncle. Life is short and I wish we could have been closer but I can only hope to have a life as long as his and family that loves me. A real American hero that helped shaped the life of those around him. I don’t think he was aware of the impact he had. Rest In Peace, Uncle Kenny. My father made sure that my brother and I knew you and I always love to see the sparkle in his eye when he speaks of you and Aunt June. Be strong everyone. I love you all.

Our sympathy to your family. We were pleased to meet Norman last fall and learned much about the Hilmer family who lived at one time in our area here north of Columbus by Shell Creek Baptist Church and St. John’s Lutheran Church. We’re also friends of Doris Hilmer and her late husband Clarence, your brother-in-law. May God be with you during these days and may you feel His comfort and presence in the days to come.
