Kenneth Lee Farley

February 23, 1968-February 18, 2025

Kenneth Lee Farley, 56, passed away on February 18, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska. Born on February 23, 1968, in Sioux City, Iowa, Kenneth lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and a love for the open road.

For nearly 35 years, Kenneth worked as an over-the-road truck driver, a career that took him across countless miles and   landscapes.   He embraced the life of the highway with pride and perseverance, finding joy in the journey and the independence it provided. Even when his health no longer allowed him to be behind the wheel full-time, he found fulfillment in teaching CDL classes, sharing his knowledge and experience with aspiring drivers.

Beyond his career, Kenneth had a passion for riding motorcycles and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed going to concerts. Many of those he attended with his little brother with whom he shared a close bond. Those who knew him remember his willingness to lend a hand whenever needed. He was loving yet stubborn, qualities that made him both dependable and unforgettable.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter Carissa Farley and son Trevor Farley, both of San Antonio, Texas; his brother James Farley and wife Monique; his niece Kayla Farley all of Papillion, NE; his brother Jeremy Farley and wife Angela; nephew Joseph Farley; niece Julianna Farley, all of Sioux City, IA; as well as several cousins in the Omaha and Council Bluffs areas and Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides of the family, his brother Lenny Farley, his mother Sherryann Luft, and his father Charles Farley. He travelled the road in years gone past. A life he chose and hoped it would last. Driving all night, he just couldn’t wait to get back to home though arriving so late. He’s parked his truck now, his engine has stopped, and those who love him, their hearts have dropped. He travelled the land with a smile of great pride.

Now he drives the streets of heaven on the trucker’s last ride.

May your roads always be clear, Polar Bear. We’ve got the loads from here on. 10-4 and goodbye.
