Kent Dalwayne Jacob, 57, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on August 7th, 2025. He was born on May 22nd, 1968, in Bellevue, Nebraska. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who love him.
He completed his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Omaha, Nebraska, where he made many life long friends, including the love of his life, Monica Jacob. Kent spent over 20 years in the field of information technology, quickly becoming a leader within his field.
Kent was brave, intelligent, and kind. Kent enjoyed the “good life” frequenting Nebraska Husker football games, and could be seen often wearing red. E enjoyed star gazing and building camp fires with his children on the weekends. Kent was known for his passion for telescopes and his love for science.
Kent is preceded in death by his parents, Natalia Sema Jacob and Dale Jacob, mother-in-law Sharon Bryson, sister-in-laws Michelle Foupht and Mellisa Jewell. He is survived by his wife, Monica Sharon Jacob, children Miranda Sharon, Joshua Kent (Sydny Nicole) and grandson, James Kent, father-in-law, Terry Bryson Sr., brother-in-law and best friend Ronald Foupht (Kim), brother-in-law Terry Bryson Jr. (Barb), and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.
Celebration of life will take place Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at 6120 Sun Lake Drive, Plattsmouth, Nebraska (lunch provided/Casual wear please).

I worked with Kent at Fraser. He was always very kind. He was crazy smart. He gave Matt S. an opportunity of a lifetime, for which he should still be profoundly grateful as it changed his life. Kent had the best giggle.
