Konnie Kay Beeman Whitney was born in Sheridan, Missouri. and attended beauty school after graduating from Maryville High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Bob Whitney, and they moved to Omaha. She wanted two girls like her cousins Marli and Suzi and had Tami and Tari. She was a full time stay-at-home mom. She was room mother and Brownie leader, drove car pools, and attended school plays and band concerts. When Tari had grandsons, Todd and Curt, she was room mother, went to band concerts and swim meets. She was a full-time stay at home grandma.
She was preceded in death by husband Bob, who died just shy of their fiftieth anniversary. Later that year she had a debilitating stroke that left her paralyzed and unable to talk. So after she had taken care of us for so long, we took care of her for her next decade with her grandson Curt as full-time live-in caregiver. She is survived by daughters Tami Whitney and Tari (Bob) English and grandsons Todd and Curt Vacek and Riley the poodle.

She was loved and cared for well. I know she will be missed in many ways, large and small.
