My prayers and condolences to the family.
So long, old friend. It was a pleasure to know you and I’ll cherish the memories.
Sorry to hear of Lanny’s passing. I graduated with Lanny at the same time from high school and at Peru. We were very close at Peru, both on the track team and doing lots of other things together. I will miss him.
As President of Bellevue Education Association – Retired, I would like to extend my/our condolences for the loss of one of our retired Bellevue teachers. Lanny gave Bellevue so much and we all are so thankful for his years of service to the BPS District!! RIP Sir!!
Taught with Lanny at Logan for a number of years. Lots of good memories. Lots of great stories. RIP
Roger and I are saddened with his passing, and offer our deepest sympathy to his family. Lanny and I both started elementary school in Bellevue and then graduated from Bellevue High. Many members of the BHS Class of 1957 began their education in Bellevue, and we have kept in contact with each other whether at class reunions or dinners in Omaha when we could get together. Lanny’s love of sports and his natural ability were legendary.
So very sorry to hear about Coach Richards. He was my head football coach when I was in 9th grade at Logan. I had many great memories of Coach that I will never forget, and I will never forget him as well. A great coach that was fun loving but very tough and fair. He will be missed by many of his former players. Such a great man.
Our deepest Condolences from the Boganowski family, Coach Richards aka Slim was a great teacher and Coach! Really miss my basketball days with Lanny! Rest in Peace Coach
Mr. Richards was a man among great men. He loved being a teacher and growing up boys who all needed to become men.
